Miles de mujeres marchan contra Trump en Washington

El objetivo es advertir que no aceptarán un retroceso en materia de derechos sociales. Se esperan más de 200 mil personas.

Apenas un día después de la asunción presidencial de Donald Trump, el amplio arco opositor al nuevo gobierno toma las calles de la capital de Estados Unidos, con el movimiento feminista a la cabeza, para advertir que no aceptarán un retroceso en materia de derechos sociales. Se esperan más de 200 mil personas en la movilización.

La protesta, bautizada Marcha de las Mujeres en Washington, un nombre que toma prestado de otras movilizaciones multitudinarias en la historia del país, fue convocada por una plataforma feminista luego que la victoria de Trump en las urnas en noviembre pasado desatara una ola de protestas espontáneas en las mayores ciudades y universidades del país.

La protesta comenzó a las 12, muy cerca del Capitolio. Contará con varios discursos y la presencia de activistas, cantantes y actrices famosas. En total, se espera que dure entre tres y cuatro horas.
