Del Potro cayó ante Berdych y quedó eliminado del Abierto de Australia

También se despidió Nicolás Kicker. El único argentino que queda en pie es Diego Schwartzman.

No fue una buena jornada para el tenis argentino en el Abierto de Australia. Juan Martín Del Potro (10º) cayó 6-3, 6-3 y 6-2 ante el checo Thomas Berdych (19º), y quedó eliminado en la tercera ronda del primer Grand Slam del año.

El tandilense perdió en dos horas y 18 minutos de juego, en un encuentro en el que no tuvo chances ante un Berdych que lució inspirado, con un magnífico saque y con un dominio total del desarrolló del partido.

Delpo se mostró sin reacción, no tuvo resto anímico ni físico, permaneció estático y dio la impresión que el gran desgaste que le provocó el triunfo en la segunda ronda ante el ruso Karen Kachanov, le pasó factura.

El otro que se despidió del certamen es Nicolás Kicker (93º), quien fue superado 6-3, 6-3 y 6-2 por el húngaro Martón Fucsovics (85º), en una hora y 56 minutos.

El único argentino que se mantiene en pie es el porteño Diego Schwartzman (26º) quien tendrá la difícil tarea de jugar ante el español Rafael Nadal, número uno del mundo, en octavos.
