Del Potro, a paso firme en el US Open: venció a Bautista Agut y avanzó a los octavos de final

El tandilense superó al español por 6-3, 6-3 y 6-4.

Juan Martín del Potro (28 del mundo) avanzó a los octavos de final del Abierto de Estados Unidos, último Grand Slam de la temporada, tras vencer a Roberto Bautista Agut (13) por 6-3, 6-3 y 6-4.

La "Torre de Tandil​", campeón del US Open en la edición 2009, tuvo un sólido juego ante el español y continúa firme en el certamen.

Ahora el argentino tendrá un duro rival en la siguiente ronda: se medirá el lunes en octavos​ ante el austríaco Dominic Thiem (8).
