Kate Middleton, duquesa de Cambridge y esposa del príncipe Guillermo, dio a luz esta mañana en el hospital St Mary's de Londres a su tercer hijo, un bebé en perfecto estado de salud de 3.800 kilogramos, informó el Palacio de Kensington.

A través de su cuenta oficial de Twitter, la Realeza informó que Guillermo presenció el parto y que la reina, el duque de Edimburgo, el príncipe de Gales, la duquesa de Cornualles, el príncipe Harry y miembros de ambas familias "están encantados con la noticia".

Previamente, la residencia oficial de los duques de Cambridge informó que Kate fue en auto al hospital desde el palacio de Kensington, acompañada por su marido, para dar a luz a su tercer hijo.

The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge.
El nuevo bebé ocupará el quinto puesto en la línea de sucesión al trono británico, por detrás de su abuelo, el príncipe Carlos; su padre, el príncipe Guillermo, y sus hermanos, Jorge y Carlota, relegando a su tío el príncipe Harry al sexto puesto.
Aunque se trata de un varón, éste no se situará por delante de su hermana Carlota en la línea sucesoria al regir una nueva ley que afecta a los bebés reales nacidos después de 2011.
