Mundial Sub-20: Argentina debutará ante Inglaterra el próximo 20 de mayo

La Selección juvenil comparte el grupo A con los ingleses, Corea del Sur y Guinea.

El seleccionado argentino de fútbol Sub 20 debutará ante Inglaterra, el 20 de mayo próximo a las 4.30 de nuestro país, en la Copa del Mundo de la categoría a desarrollarse en Corea del Sur entre el 20 de mayo y 11 de junio próximos.

Así lo determinó el sorteo realizado hoy en la ciudad de Suwon, en el cual participaron como invitados especiales Diego Armando Maradona, campeón mundial sub-20 en Japón 1979, y Pablo Aimar, campeón en Malasia 1997.

El Grupo A en el cual intervendrá el equipo argentino, que tiene como entrenador a Claudio Úbeda, será muy difícil ya que deberá jugar además ante los locales y el duro seleccionado africano de Guinea.

Argentina jugará ante Inglaterra en el Jeonjun Stadium (aforo de 41.785 espectadores) el sábado 20 de mayo a las 4.30, luego tendrá como adversario a Corea del Sur el martes 23, a las 8 en el Daejon Stadium (39.654), culminando su participación en el grupo ante Guinea, el viernes 26 a las 8 en el Suwon Stadium (42.655).

Este mundial tendrá una significativa ausencia y será la de Brasil, ganador de cinco mundiales, uno menos que Argentina, el máximo ganador, que fue eliminado en el Sudamericano jugado en Ecuador.

Los octavos de final se jugarán entre el 30 de mayo y el 1 de junio, los cuartos de final tendrán lugar entre el 4 y 5 de junio, las semifinales se desarrollarán el 8 de junio y la final, previamente se realizará el cotejo por el tercer puesto, se jugará el domingo 11 de junio a las 7.
